Abstract

The rapid proliferation of financial technology (Fintech) has transformed the banking landscape globally. This study delves into the intricate relationship between Fintech adoption, human resource upskilling, and resultant service innovation in the banking sector, with a spotlight on Vellore region of Tamil Nadu, India. Through a comprehensive quantitative survey distributed across numerous banks in the region, the research harnesses the PLS-SEM methodology for a detailed data analysis. The results accentuate the paramount importance of human resource competencies in Fintech adoption. These competencies include the aptitude for innovation, adaptability to technological shifts, decision-making acumen, and prowess in interpreting analytical data. The study underscores that there is a marked correlation between advanced service innovation and enhanced firm performance. Conclusively, for banks to leverage the full potential of Fintech and achieve superior growth trajectories, a dedicated focus on employee training and upskilling becomes indispensable.
